Located in the old yacht basin in Southport, North Carolina. Provision company has always had a connection to the sea.

The building was first used in the 70’s as a wholesale fish house for the local fishing industry. In the 80’s it morphed into a boat and motor repair shop. During the early 90’s the Yacht Basin Provision Company store and fish charters occupied the site. Catering to transit boaters plying the intracoastal waterway and those wanting a day out bottom fishing.

In 1993 the building was converted into a restaurant with the original provision company sign still mounted on the roof.

Owned and operated by the same family for over 30 years the restaurant still offers dockage to boaters traveling the waterway along with great food and cold beverage which is to all those who pass through its screen doors.

Earning the title of one of the “the best seafood dives” throughout the United states from coastal living, southern living and USA TODAY, provision company proudly embraces the label.

We make our potato and cucumber salads from scratch every day and our sauces; tartar, cocktail, and remoulade, are all made from family recipes and mixed fresh daily.
