The Provision Company™ Story

Since 1993, The Provision Company™ has offered everything a body needs to embrace the laid-back coastal lifestyle of downtown Southport. With its delicious food and incredible views of the Intracoastal Waterway, Provisions (as the locals call it) promises an unforgettable dining experience, where everything’s paid on the honor system, and tank tops and flip flops are an unspoken part of the dress code.

Family-owned and operated, The Provision Company™ began as a charter fishing business that doubled as a one-stop shop convenience store. Customers would write their beer tabs on a ledger inside the store, using the honor system when it came time to settle the bill. Inspired by secret family recipes, the owners decided to repurpose the building into a restaurant, finding joy in feeding people.
After 30 years, The Provision Company™ has become a Southport landmark. Each season, tourists, nearby visitors, and locals get in line to experience fresh seafood served with Southern hospitality and love.

We make our potato and cucumber salads from scratch every day and our sauces; tartar, cocktail, and remoulade, are all made from family recipes and mixed fresh daily.
